ParallelPaws (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and delete data in the iOS app and onparallelpaws.app.
1. Who we are
ParallelPaws is a companion-first iOS app: raise a twin AI cat that mirrors your days and remembers your stories. It is for emotional support and gentle companionship. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or prescribe.
2. Data we may process
- Account: Sign in with Apple (may include a private relay address). There is no email or guest sign-in.
- Twin & creations: cat photos you upload (1–3), preset choices, generated watercolor portraits / adventures / share cards, accessories, and diary text.
- Lifestyle mapping (optional): water, meals, and sleep you log yourself in the app. Wedo not connect to Apple Health / HealthKit and do not read steps or system health data.
- Memory & chat: memory notes and day context so the cat can feel continuous. Chat is presented as a fresh round by default — continuity comes from diary and memory, not a browsable chat archive.
- Subscription status: Gold Bell Pass entitlements via Apple In-App Purchase. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical logs: limited device/error data for reliability — not marketing profiling as a product goal.
3. How we use data
- Provide twin raising, room presence, diary, letters, and collectible cards.
- Create stylized images and copy (shown in-product as Image magic; model/vendor names are not shown in UI).
- Validate Gold Bell Pass and quotas.
- Respond to support and meet legal obligations.
4. Lifestyle notes (not a health platform)
Water, sleep, and meals come only from marks you leave in the app, so self-care can softly color the cat’s day.We do not connect to Apple Health, and we do not diagnose, shame, or push exercise.
5. Photos & twin
Uploaded cat photos are used to create your twin and related art. In-app privacy controls let you browse/delete memories and delete the twin and photos (exact labels follow the shipping app). After deletion, we remove corresponding active-system data within a reasonable period; backups may retain residuals briefly.
6. Sharing & processors
When you share a card, you choose the destination. Infrastructure and generation processors help run the app and only handle data as needed under contract. The product is single-player companionship first; friend/social features will not ship without isolation.
7. Retention & security
We keep data as needed to provide the service. After a pass lapses, the room and existing diary or art stay available; weekly credits return to 50, and new letters wait until next week or until you subscribe again. Image generation (real cat, stickers, postcards) needs a pass. We use reasonable safeguards; no transmission is perfectly secure.
8. Delete account & cloud data
If signed in: App room gear → Account & code → Delete account & cloud data. Or email[email protected] for help (we may need to verify identity).
9. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from children under the applicable age. Contact us if you believe this happened in error.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date on this page and/or in-app notice.
